K-9 Comfort for Hospice Patients

Did you know that our furry friends are not only great companions, but they also improve our health?

Did you know our furry friends are more than just great companions?  They can help us to combat depression and loneliness, enhance our levels of dopamine and endorphin's (the hormones associated with happiness), lower anxiety levels, and provide cardiovascular benefits.

This month, another one of our patients had a friendly visitor.  "Tobias" is a 2 1/2 year old golden retriever with Lutheran Church Charities, a nonprofit ministry assisting individuals internationally to better their lives.  If you are interested in learning more on Lutheran Church Charities, their web address is listed below:

Tobias was not only welcomed by our patient, but the facility staff too!  A big thanks to Lutheran Church Charities for their continued care for our patients!
