GRIEF SUPPORT

Life long support for families experiencing the loss of a loved one

Those in grief may need assistance in understanding the stages of grief and gaining coping skills that will bring about life change. We at HOPE provide a safe and supportive environment where loved ones can share and express their experiences. Grieving the loss of a loved one can be a painful and lonely experience and by actively educating ourselves in the grieving process, healing can begin. As we heal we eventually begin to make renewed investments in life.

We at HOPE recognize that grieving is different for each person. Therefore, we offer a variety of supportive opportunities.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Adult Support: Meets to express shared feelings and experiences while learning coping strategies with others dealing with the loss of a loved one.

Children's Support: Utilizes play and art therapies to work through the grieving process and express their feelings.

Drop in Groups: Provides ongoing education and support to those working through the grieving process.

Community Hosted Groups: Working with local residents, HOPE assists with groups that are open to all members of the community.

Individual/Family Grief Support: HOPE's Bereavement Specialists can provide support on an individual or family basis. These sessions can take place in the office or home setting. The support is tailored to meet the needs of the grieving individuals.

From Barbara

The chaplain was a kind and compassionate soul. It was a pleasure to have him as our Chaplain. I am forever grateful for the support he gave me in such a short time.

From Cathy
